2010 SUMMER READING
|
![]() |
| Dear Parents, Summer is here! We hope that you have many opportunities to read and relax! Our last Healthy Habits classes with the students focused on reading/writing during the summer - ask your child to tell you about it! We are sending home summer calendars (June, July, and August) for you and your child to keep a record of the days that your child reads or writes, including days that you read aloud to your child. Just write your initials on the calendar each reading or writing day. Please have your child give the calendars to next year’s teacher. If you haven’t already done so, perhaps this is the summer to visit the local library and sign up for a library card. You might also consider swapping books with a friend or visiting a bookstore to browse the children’s section. Please enjoy the links and ideas on our web page with your child. Happy summer reading! |
